Abraham Miramontes
at Alpaca
Sept 8 - Oct 3, 2023

Abraham Miramontes is an artist and arts educator who works in oil paints and lino block prints. His work is a reflection of his inner spiritual life and personal struggles. Using evocative anatomical and natural imagery, his paintings and prints point both to the divine and to mortal messiness. Through his art, Miramontes seeks to create a personal connection to God, whose love is offered to all regardless of sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic or social status.

In the vast majority of my works you will find that they were inspired by the bible. One day I decided to dedicate my talent to the One who gave it to me. Sim not against religion but its not something I make use of, or what I want to convey. I prefer to believe in love, and that everyone, Absolutely Everyone, is deserving of God and we can go to Him despite all our mistakes. My art offers a connection to God. Regardless of your sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic or social status. Or whatever you think is keeping you from getting closer to Him. Currently I continue to develop my stills using oil painting and the linocut technique. And I intend that my work makes those who see it feel better, my fundamental principles and that you will see implicit in my conceptual at are: Love, hope and faith. And as elements you will find bones, hearts, flowers, geometric figures and substances with golden shades that symbolize the presence of God. Not all of us have well developed expression skill. Some don't even feel they can do it freely. Fortunately, at exists in all its forms and allows us to express ourselves. Is a young man, I had the feeling of not having a voice, and at the same time the need to be heard, consequently drawing helped me to speak and to be heard.
